Stampin' Royalty Challenge #113~ Dress It Down

 Stampin' Royalty had a fabulous challenge for us all this week... dress it down!  You aren't supposed to use any embellishments at all!  This is like tying your hands behind your back while crafting... nearly impossible:)  I really like how my card came out, but I will admit that the following night I went back and added some embellishments:)  I'll share that pic with you later this week!

Hand Stamped Sentiments Challenge #107~ Banner Bash

This week's Hand Stamped Sentiments theme is Banner Bash... I know that I kind of cheated, but I was STUCK!!!!  There is this awesome new DSP in the On the Go digital download that has that adorable plane with the little banner right on it!  All I had to do was add the pics, a few punches and some journalling:)

Club Card Share

This super fun card was inspired by Natasha Hein's recent creation... I LOVE her work!  I had yet to try the technique for creating your own gingham background, but boy will I be using it again... so easy and so fun!  I couldn't resist making this card the moment that I smelled by cherry scented embossing powder... it is unreal!  Hmmm... now what to do with the vanilla scented one???

Case'ing Creativity

I came across a card almost identical to this on Fran Sabad's blog.  I love the simplicity of it and the fact that is shows off some gorgeous new products.  I really wanted my club ladies to get a chance to play with the new Edgelits without having to focus a ton on the complexity of the card.  They also got to check out the adorable new Sprinkled Expressions stamp set which is available for free with a $60+ purchase

A First!

I can honestly say that I don't think I've ever used EVERY stamp in a set to create on card... that is until this one!  This was from my attempts at colour blocking last week... as you can see it lacked something important... colour!  I had a lot of fun sponging backgrounds for each stamp:)  The Netting background stamp was perfect for softening the blank space:)

Stampin' Royalty Challenge #112

This week's Stampin' Royalty Challenge is a super fun colour challenge!  I loved these three colours together... all I saw was flowers!

I needed to keep the whole colour blocking technique simple... I admit that I've played with it for weeks and I've tossed and ton of samples in the recycling!  I will also admit that I pulled out my life-saver, the Color Coach to come up with my colour choice:)

Stampin' Royalty Challenge #111

This week's Stampin' Royalty Challenge was a sketch challenge.  These are my favourite when I've got some mojo, but not much fun when you've got no ideas... I had fun with my Movers and Shapers Die which was nice, but I'm still not thrilled... I don't usually stamp on DSP... not within my comfort zone!  I think that stamping on Very Vanilla would have helped to give the cord more balance.  What do you think?

My AMAZING hubby new how much I've been missing time in my craft room so he told me to go and hide today:)  It didn't matter how long I sat there or how many cards I attempted to start, nothing was working!  After two days of making 40 class valentines and 40 decorated bags of cinnamon hearts, I was on EMPTY!  So, if you find my mojo out there, let him know that I really miss him:)

It seems as though when I can't create with paper, My Digital Studio becomes an easy alternative, and vice versa!  Thank goodness I've been able to at least knock off a few scrapbook pages:)

Case'ing a Queen:)

I came across a gorgeous card on Pinterest that I HAD to CASE:)  It was created by Julie Marshall.  I absolutely LOVE her style of cardmaking!  I wanted a card that would really showcase fabulous products from the Sale-abration catalogue... and this was perfect!  I made some minor changes and was set to go!  One thing that I love about being an SU demonstrator is that I don't feel pressure to be original all the time.. there are some many fabulous cards out there to CASE!

Stampin' Royalty Challenge #110

I'm sure you're probably trying to figure out how my picture inspiration resulted in this scrapbook page, and to be honest, I'm not really sure!  All I know was that I started out with a page with a lot of pink stripes in the background to mimic that flowing fabric.  Somewhere along the way, the page ended up green and very masculine!  Do you see any resemblance at all?????
