Odd Time to Play

Well, it turns out that 5:08 arrived this morning and I was WIDE awake!  I really haven't had any play time this year up at the lake as we have been working madly to get our new summer home to lock up.  We are so close that I can taste it and thank goodness with only three days left until we head home!

I decided to take advantage of my quiet time and play with My Digital Studio on my computer.  I used the Stamping 411 sketch for this week and tried out some of the fabulous new tools available with the upgrade to My Digital Studio 2!  Notice that I was able to colour my stamps as well as add colour to whited out areas on the tea cup!  This is just a taste... I can't wait to try the font that follows whatever line you draw!  Who knows... maybe if I'm up early tomorrow that will be my next adventure:)

Stampin' Royalty Challenge #139~Back to School

This week's Stampin' Royalty Challenge is a one that hits home with me in more than one way.  Next weekend marks the end of both my summer holidays and my boys summer holidays!  I can't believe how quickly two months goes by when you don't want it to!

I thought it couldn't hurt to have some back to school cards ready for the boys teachers... gotta get on their good side now;)

Hand Stamped Sentiments Challenge #133

This week's Hand Stamped Sentiments Challenge is Pom Poms!  Now you may be looking at my page to try and find out... yep... that sad little pom pom turned flower is it!  We are still away at our summer home and I've got no yarn to create one so I attempted it with my Baker's twine.  I think that I would have had to use the entire package to get the effect that I was going for:(  Make sure to head over to Hand Stamped Sentiments and check out some serious pom poms!

Brought A Smile to My Day!

This gorgeous card was from my up-up-line:)  I had to share it with you today... made me smile:) I'll definitely be CASE'ing this one!  I did get a little time in my craftroom over the past two hours.. but basically only enough to get my challenges done for next week:)  Thank goodness!  I'll share another card with you on Sunday and then my Challenge cards on Tuesday and Wednesday... the following week is back to school.  For most that would mean less time to craft but it seems that I do much better with the routines of day to day life as far as fitting in my crafting!  See you Sunday!

Hand Stamped Sentiments Challenge #130~Colour Challenge

If you haven't got hold of the new In Colours for 2012-2014, you need to!  This grouping of colours is so rich!  I am absolutely in LOVE with them...even though I was convinced that there was no way I would like Summer Starfruit... it's actually beautiful!

Snowflakes are Back!

I don't know abut you, but I was soooooo disappointed when Stampin' Up discontinued their Sizziz snowflake die.  I need to remind myself that they always have good reason for their decisions... and they did:)  They new snowflake die from the Holiday Mini is "to die" for:)  There are actually three snowflakes on it.  These are the two smallest along with the adorable Holiday Tags and mini DSP stack!

Well, I've never blogged from my iPhone before but until I have Internet access again in a few days I'm going to have to give it a try. I know there are some retired product on this card but I just have to make do at the lake sometimes:)

Stampin' Royalty Challenge #135

This was such a fun card to create!  I love how fresh the new In Colours look with white, and the new Daydream Medallion Stamp set is to "DIE" for:)  Lame pun... I know:)    When I went to create this card I realized that I had ordered another package of last year's In Colour DSP stack so now I'm waiting for my new one to arrive... it is sad when you realize how much you depend on those DSP stacks to ensure that you have the right colour of DSP to go with every project!
