"Halloween Ange"

I have never been one for Halloween cards, but with the new products that Stampin' Up has come up with, I can't seem to stop.  Everyone is going to have to get used to the new "Halloween Ange".  I can't wait to give everyone their cards this year:)  That web was so easy to do... all you have to do to make it stand out was to drag the white craft pad over the raised web.  It makes it instantly POP from the page.

These Are SOOOOOO Cool!

I had a lot of fun watching Stampin' Up's video on how to use the new Letterpress plates.  I wanted to try out the technique that they showed, but I couldn't bear to leave that sample unused on my desk.  This was the little creation that I came up with.

Stampin' Success Magazine Sample #3

This was my favorite sample that was featured in Stampin' Up's demonstrator magazine, Stampin' Success.  One of the fireman that Sean works with is also a photographer and he does AMAZING work.  I love the "vintage" feel to the photo that he took of Joe. It worked so well with the To The Nines digital download that is available for My Digital Studio!

A2 Gift Bag Tutorial... as promised:)

Click on Any of the Photos to Enlarge Them:)  If you have any questions, please feel free to leave them in your comments and I'll respond in the comments so that everyone can see the answers:)

  • Cut 12x12 piece of DSP down to 9x12"

  •  Putting 12" side along the top, score at 5" and 7"

  •  Put 9" side along the top and score at 2"

  • Cut in to 2" score line as shown

  • Cut 12"x 3" leftover piece down to 9"x 3"

  • Putting 3" piece along the top, score at 1/2", 2 1/2"

  • Putting 9" side along the top, score at 2"

  •  Trim out corner rectangles as shown and put red Sticky Strip along both of the 1/2" wide sides

  •  Adhere smaller side panel to main bag panel

  •  Put Sticky Strip on the inside of the bag as shown in photo.  This only needs to be done along two sides of center part as shown and along bottom edge (I forgot to do this before I took the pic)

  • Adhere bag together, tucking smaller bottom tabs in between the two layers of wider bottom panels.

  • Squeeze bag closed, and use crop-o-dile to punch holes for jumbo eyelet.  Be careful not to punch through the inner folds as you'll end up with holes in the sides of your bag... ask me how I know this:)

Decorate your bag

For a full sized gift bag that uses 2 pieces of 12"x 12" DSP, come and check out this PDF that I have available.

Gift for my Hostess:)

I had the best afternoon today:)  I had a workshop with an amazing group of friends and my stomach hurt by the end... too many laughs!  The Pear Pizzaz card was one of my own that I CASE'd and then I just changed up the colours.  I think I like this one even better.  This was one of the samples that I kept.  The Teeny Tiny Wishes is perfect for adding any occasion sentiments to this card with the Word Window Punch.  The girls all made one of these after I demo'd it, but I had a set of 4 ready to add to the one that I demo'd in this fun gift bag:)  I love making useful gifts for my hostesses.  This was just one of three that she received.  Check back tomorrow for a free tutorial on this A2 sized gift bag... all you need is one sheet of 12x12 DSP for the actual bag!

Loving My MDS

I haven't had a ton of extra time for crafting over the past few weeks with adjusting to the back to school schedule.  It was nice to just sit down and get some of my summer photos scrapbooked tonight while I sat with my hubby on the couch.  I love these Playdate add-ons

Stampin' Royalty Challenge #37- Stitching

I made this card for a TRULY AMAZING person that I know who has provided me with so much inspiration and many words of encouragement since I started my journey with Stampin' Up!  I was staring at it and trying to figure out what was missing when I scanned my "to do" list of stamping items.  My Stampin' Royalty Challenge (which was to include stitching) was on it.  I added the faux stitching with my Rose Red marker and it felt finished.  Make sure to let me know what you think and to come play with us at Stampin' Royalty this week!  The Design Teams samples are AWESOME!!!

A Little Practice...

I always come up with the concepts for my club cards a few weeks in advance, and I generally will play around with the concept for awhile before I come up with my club card.  I came across a card on Jenn's Picard's blog that had a neat twist of making envelope cards.  I decided that with my practice card I would make one to check off an item on my "to-do" list:)  I've been meaning to invite some of the school mom's over for coffee and thought that I could make a cute invite.  I will often try to use up my retired product when I'm making practice cards or ones that aren't for my classes.  I've been eying this Night of Navy ribbon forever... it was in one of the Ribbon Originals sets awhile back and it was gorgeous.  Somehow I never got around to using it.

I Found It!

... no, not my mind... that was lost long ago!!!!

First off, sorry for my absence.  I have had the best 36 hours!  I am Contempo Christmas'ed out, but I had a blast!  Thanks ladies for a great three classes!!!!!!

I meant to share this card before the Summer Mini had ended, but would you believe that I lost it???  Somehow I managed to tuck it back into the package of DSP when I was cleaning up my stuff that night.  The colours on this card can't help but make you feel happy.  This will definitely have to be a local birthday card as that ribbon and all of those brads have definitely made it a little on the heavy side.
