Fundraiser Fun and New Digital Downloads

Every year I do card making with my Grade Seven students as a fundraiser for their year end activities.  The students make the cards and we sell them at our May Coffee House event.  It has quickly become a favourite thing for the students to do every year.  I try to keep the designs simple so that they are easy to replicate in a class of 30 without taking up too much time.  This was one of the designs that we did this year.  The also made this same card in a Poppy Parade and Peach Parfait combo, although the Concord Crush was my personal favourite.

Make sure to go and check out the new digital downloads released today as my promo is good for a few more hours!!

MDS'ing the Birthday Invites This Year!

Today is my eldest son's 7th birthday!  I really don't know where the time has gone as it feels like just yesterday when I had him.  We decided to go with the My Digital Studio invites this year and he helped me create them on my laptop.  We printed them out on photo paper and then just matted them on a piece of Old Olive and then Pacific Point cardstock.

Don't miss out on my My Digital Studio promotion that I have on until May 31st!   For every $30 in digital downloads that you place with me before May 31st at 10pm PST, you will earn a $10 credit to be used in the month of June!  (Spend $60... earn a $20 credit etc.)  Club ladies... you are allowed to apply this credit towards the June Club "special deal" that you are getting!***

Baby Invite Bomb

I recently had someone contact me regarding making some invitations for her sister's baby shower. She isn't a crafter so she didn't want to make them herself, but wanted me to create and reproduce enough for her to send out.  I know that this colour scheme is a little odd, but she doesn't know whether she is having a boy or a girl and I get tired of the yellow/ green combo. If you're wondering why I've called it a bomb in the title, it was because I never heard back from her after I sent her the pictures of the invite... I guess she didn't like them:)

Wow... I feel like it has been an eternity since I've blogged, but when I looked back, I only missed a few days this week.  I guess it is all about how much I've packed into those days that makes it feel like an eternity!

Yipppeeee!!!!

I finally got back into my craft room today and actually felt like I had a little mojo going!  So much in fact, that after I completed some of the creations for my "to do" list, I gave myself some time to play with this week's Mojo Monday sketch.  What do you think???  The colour combo brought some sunshine to the very dreary Vancouver weather than we've been experiencing lately:)

Final Card from Strength and Hope Class

This was the final card that we did at my Strength and Hope class last week.  I can't take credit for this beauty as it is a 100% CASE of a card done by Heather Summers.  I loved that layout on this card, and if I'm remembering correctly, she was inspired by this layout on someone else's card!  For some reason, my photo looks blurry on my post and yet not in my photo folder... hmmmmm, I LOVE TECHNOLOGY...NOT!!!!!

I think that this is a layout worth re-visiting!  You?

First Scrapbook Club Class on Scrappin' Saturday

Well, I stepped into the great unknown and began my first scrapbook club!  It is kind of humorous that I started Stampin' Up as a scrapbooker and somehow ended up a highly addicted cardmaker!  Now, as life has settled down a bit from the new baby phase, my scrapbooking love has come back full force... and the cardmaker side refuses to go away.  They are going to have to work together now:)

This was my first two page layout that I designed for my club girls.  As all my ladies don't have sons like me, I created a feminine version of this page too.  I'll share that with you this week!  We have a couple of spots left in our scrap club and I'd love to have you come and join us!

Thank You for Supporting Me!

I wanted to make a little something for all of my club girls this month.  Not only have they supported my business for the past three years, but they have also become close friends. I figured no one would complain if they found one of these at their table spot filled with something sweet:)  How about you???  What would you fill yours with? Come and join my monthly technique club, all members get to choose a free Classic Stamp Pad when they join along with some other fabulous perks only available to club members!  If you bring a friend who is new to me to join, you will get an additional free stamp pad and your friend will get theirs as well!  Talk about an easy way to build your ink pad collection... just get together a group of friends for your own private monthly club:)

This cute little box was actually CASE'd straight out of the Stampin' Success magazine, a monthly magazine sent to all Stampin' Up demonstrators.  It always has fabulous ideas in it!  Yet another one of the perks of being a demo!

Elegant Engagement

This was a relatively simple card that I made for a girlfriend's wedding shower the other day.  I love the flower on this card and you will be definitely be seeing more of these!  Much to the chagrin of my firefighter hubby, this flower involves some heavy duty use with my heat gun, satin ribbon and a heat gun.  I saw a card very similar to this on someone's blog and failed to bookmark it, so if you are the original creator or you know who was please feel free to let me know!  Does the flower look as realistic to you as it does to me?

Scrappin' Saturday

This is the scrapbook page that we'll be doing in my Strength and Hope Class tomorrow night.  There are two spaces left for this class, so if you're interested in attending, let me know today!  Your stamp set won't be here in time, but you will be able to use mine for the class and pick up your own from me next week.  Or you can order the Strength and Hope Digital download from me online and attend the class for only $4!  We'll be making this scrapbook page, an A2 card and a 3x3 love note card.  I will admit, I'm loving scrapbooking again!  This was what got me started on Stampin' Up three years ago, and then I got sidetracked with the cards.  My Digital Studio started the ball rolling again; and my scrapbook club gave it the kick it needed!  It feels so great.

I know it doesn't look like all the photos are squared up, but it is more to do with my awful photography:(  I can't wait to share my pictures from my scrapbook club with you later this week!

Club Card Share

I love going through the catalogue a few weeks before my club nights and looking for a product that we haven't played with you.  We have never played with the Big Shot Adhesive Sheets... and boy were they fun!  This Lattice Die is one of my favourites, but I've always struggled with how to adhere in a way that looked really clean.  The Big Shot Adhesive sheets are definitely the solution!

Stampin' Royalty Challenge #71

The theme for this week's Stampin' Royalty Challenge is Mother's Day.  I know that it has already passed, but I'm sure that if you're like me, there are cards that you make that cause you to think of a specific person.  when I finished this card, it just felt like one that I should put away for my mom.

This is also one of the cards that we are doing at Technique Club this week.  I had never tried the Faux Silk technique before this, and it is definitely one that I will use again soon!  It has such a subtle effect and is perfect for a bit of a Vintage look.

This is one of my favourite cards that I have made in a long time.  It is funny how being really happy with one card really pushes you to sit down and create some more!  I am just itching to spend more time in my craft room now!  It also may have something to do with the new TV that my hubby bought for my craft room for Mother's Day:)

Rub Ons are Rubbing Off!

This quick and easy card was one that I made using the Play Date Rub Ons.  I made a set of 4 of the card above, put them in the clear case shown below, and then used the little 2x2 card as my gift tag.  It made a perfect gift.  I'm trying to get a jump on the year end gifts for the boys teachers, student teachers, and coaches.  I figure that giving myself seven weeks should probably only leave me with a minimal scramble at the end:)  How stinkin' cute are those owls???
