Okay, I'll admit, this card wasn't supposed to be going on my blog; it was one of those ones that you start but never really know what to do to finish it. I thought that as a fun little weekend thing you could give feedback on how you'd finish this card... which ever one I test out and decide to go with with get a little gift from me...

You could use three small buttons to the right of the happy birthday and put them in sort of a triangle -- or use three candy dots would be even cuter. I really like the card.
ReplyDeleteI would put a big button on the right just past the Y. Maybe finish it off with a twine bow? I'm a little stumped too :P
ReplyDeleteEven though I like the braid, I think it is too thin against the large lettering. I would put another braid horizontally with it and possibly a butterfly or flower to the right of the lettering. I think you need something soft next to the braid, that was why I suggested a butterfly or flower.
ReplyDeleteI think the card is pretty striking as is… But you could matt another piece of white paper - stamp a stem and use a cork flower on it. That would tie in with the braid.
ReplyDeleteReally great card! Clean and simple is always better than overkill. A balloon bouquet of designer paper to match your cute braid would augment a birthday theme and help those of us who are more into visualizing than reading the words :)
ReplyDeleteI am liking the option of Candy dots in the colours used, or perhaps 3/16" circles if they don't come in Cabana/Starfruit. I wld try lining them up Upper LH side and then Lower RH corner (hope that makes sense). Good luck Ange. ooxx
ReplyDeleteTo the right of the Happy Birthday I would try punching 3 flowers ( or 2 depending on the room) in either crisp cantaloupe, pool party or summer starfruit (or 1 of each). Then I would punch the center of the flower from the itty bitty punch pack(the one that looks like 4 petals)with a different color from the base and putting a candy dot in the flower center. (the dot would match the base)
ReplyDeleteIt needs three balloons from the Sweet Sorbet DSP using single strands of one of the three twines used in the braid

ReplyDeleteWhat about the little dotted banner from Banner Blast in Crisp Cantaloupe punched and popped at the end of the HB.
