I'm ALIVE!!!!!!

 For those of you who thought I dropped off of the face of the earth... I'm still alive!  Unfortunately last weekend I had a major seizure (don't worry, I have epilepsy, so not all that unusual)  But as my sis refers to it... my brain did a "control, alt, delete"  and the reboot process seems to be much like working on a computer with the Vista program installed:)  I'm now back to the land of the living and looking forward to some serious crafting.

This was a page I managed to pull off on one of my days of recovery!  Poor Lucas had his family dinner the same day as his birthday party so we just continued on with the same cake (notice the bottom half is missing in the second photo!)

I having been looking at this Holiday Photo Card Kit #115667 on my desk for the past couple of weeks and today I finally got off my buns and spent 30 minutes FINISHING these 12 Christmas cards and coordinating envelopes.  Yes, you read it right...  This was just a quick and easy page I completed using My Digital Studio.  This was our annual trip to the Pumpkin Patch with my niece and nephew.  I haven't asked for permission to post their photos so I'll need to wait to show you those pages!  I love how easy this program is and the fact that I actually seem to be catching up with my scrapbooks!

Last Two Classes of the Year!

First off, I must start by saying that this adorable idea was not mine, and I can't give credit.  I put the picture of this adorable little project in my iPhoto box and didn't add a title, which usually includes the address.  The original was slightly different in colour, but if it was yours, please email me and I'll give you credit!

In this class we'll be making this adorable little card holder in case you want to pass some of these sweet tags on as gifts as well as 8 of the gift tags.  Not only that, but you'll also go home with the stamp set so you can do all of your Christmas tags!  This class will be limited to 8 (that's all my classroom fits:)

What To Do When You're Procrastinating:)

 I've been working on my Report Cards for HOURS today and I promised myself that there would be no going into my craft room until they were 75% done!  Fortunately for me my MDS is on my laptop and not in my craft room:)

I decided to give myself a break and play with some photos of the boys that were recently taken at their school.  I haven't done photos like these in three years now, and although they seem to cost an arm and a leg they are sooooo worth it!

Now, back to the report cards!

Quick and Easy!

I just wanted to show one of those quick and easy gift tags that is absolutely perfect for using up all of the little scraps of DSP that we seem to have left over.    This particular 3x3 card has a 2 7/8" square of Soft Suede.  To make the perfect size squares of DSP for the mini notecard I used my 1 3/8" square punch.  I love making up a little set of these from one sheet of 12x 12 cardstock as you can get 8 cards out of it.  Finally I finished it off my using my Delightful Decorations #116517 stamp set with the coordinating Ornament Punch #116794.   Last but not least I finshed it off with my absolute FAVOURITE embellishment, the Clear Rhinestone Brads #113144.  If you want the perfect solution for packaging these little notecards, check out this post:  http://www.northshorestamper.com/2009/09/continued-wonder-of-window-sheets.html

I couldn't resist sharing these two pictures with you.  The first is of the cake that I made for Lucas' 4th birthday on Sunday and the second... my favourite... is of his face when he saw his birthday cake in the morning!  This was one of those traditions that my mother started with my brother, sister and I when we were born and somehow it has carried on!  I think that I have carpal tunnel after this one:)

I've Opened a Can of Worms!

Well... not literally!  I finally had some time... or really I didn't, but I was procrastinating:)  I decided to put these gorgeous Decor Elements on the walls of my Craft room.  I'm in love!  This all stemmed from those little trash buckets I was working on the other day:)  My personal favourite was the one that I originally bought for one of the boys' rooms.  As one of my girlfriends said, "the only way to make it any more perfect would have been to change the paper airplane into a Big Shot!"

Pretty Trash!

Yesterday, one of my downline members had commented on the little garbage pails on the table in my club night photos.  She was just commenting on how cute they were:)  Well, first of all, the idea for the little bucket garbage cans came from one of my customers after doing a workshop at her house last weekend.  She had put 2 on each table for the ladies to dump their little scraps into.  I loved the idea as I am an organization freak and this would keep the table a lot tidier.  I remembered that I had bought 8 of these in the summer thinking, "maybe these will come in handy someday!" Well, they found their purpose!

Now, after my downline's comment I decided that I should probably go and add some embellishments to my buckets to "Stampin' Up" them:)  I thought that this was the perfect use for some of my Decor Elements.  Not only that, but I got to use my SU vinyl and make the butterflies using my Big Shot!

Battery Problems a Bonus!

Have you ever had one of those days where you wander around in circles not getting anything done?  Well today was one of those:)  I've been meaning to get some cards posted but I couldn't find my camera cord, in my search I ran into a basket of laundry that needed folding and when I realized that there was only one of Lucas' gloves in the basket I went off looking for that.... anyone else see where this is going???? 

Anyway, the camera cord has now been found and the laundry folded!  As for that glove, it apparently walked away on its own! 

This card was a case of Mary Fish's card, but as you can see it changed a little along the way. I too was needing a birthday card for my brother-in-law that day and loved this idea!  I love how clean the Circle Circus Stamp #115778 set looks!  When I first went to take my photo, the camera batteries must have been dying because I could only get black and white photos.  I really liked the look of it and think that I may have to recreate this card using the Basic Gray and Going Gray!

A Simple Card... but wait!

When my club ladies arrived tonight I showed them this simple card front.  It was probably a little disappointing for a group of very talented women ready to learn new techniques.  What they didn't know was what was inside!

We finally made our first Pop Up card!  Now this was just my sample, there's were much more beautiful when they finished.  After making my first tree, I decided to remove all sharp objects from the table while they were working:)  



It was a little embarrassing at how fast they all put their trees together.  Mine required watching the video in slow motion a multitude of times!  I got it down by card three:)

Club Sneak Peak:)

Tomorrow night is one of my favourite nights... Club Night!   I love to blog surf looking for creative new techniques to share with my girls.  This particular technique using the Autumn Days stamp set #115452 is called, "Faux Torn Vellum".  Although I made some changes, the original idea for my card came from Gretchen Barron's blog.  I love the combination of the current In Colours.  I masked off my envelope and did just a small corner to coordinate with the cardfront.

The Most Talented Girls!

I've been blessed to have a PHENOMENALLY talented group of women in my West Coast Creators Team.  Not only have I been blessed to learn many new things about stamping/ scrapbooking, but I have also made many close friends.

 This stunning card was was created by Jody Makela.  I love the way that they background texturz plates tie right in with the DSP!

This beauty was made by Meilani Smith using one of my favourites, the Ghosting Technique for the background:)

 The next card was done by Sarah Newman.  I love how she using a punch to create a stencil for the masked portion of the center of the card!  How beautiful!

 I will admit that  I am in love with the Holiday Lounge DSP and as a result I was smitten with Sandra Farrell's card.  I love the use of this colour on a Christmas card, and her layout ROCKS!

This adorable punch art card was done by Sabriena Satchwell.  Although the singing reindeer is an idea many of us are familar with, I love how Sabriena made it her own!  Oh, and if you didn't notice, the dazzling diamonds along the snowline finishes the card perfectly!

 This super cute card was created by Shanda Stirk.  I will admit that after seeing this card I've given in and bought the stamp set!  I love her layout too!

A Gift for My Hostess

I had a great afternoon today with an AMAZING group of women.  This was just one of the gifts that I made for my hostess.  It was a box with four completed Christmas cards and coordinating envelopes.  I love to demonstrate ideas for my friends that they can package their cards in.  I demo'd these easy card boxes and then I email all of my ladies a PDF file with instructions if there's a project that I think that they would like to try and make at home again:)
