Hand Stamped Sentiments Challenge #91~ Colour Challenge

This week's Hand Stamped Sentiments Challenge is a colour challenge.  I really struggled with this one so I had to keep the card simple! I just couldn't seem to find the right balance of Cherry Cobbler and Real Red.  I guess that's why they call it a colour challenge isn't it???  You'll have to go and check out the gorgeous samples by the design team!  Somehow I managed to be the only one who didn't make a Christmas card.... you'd think that would have been a logical choice considering the colours!  Apparently my logic is long gone:)

Mommy Struck Out!

Lucas' birthday is coming up in just a week and a bit.  We sat down together a week and a half ago to figure out his birthday invites.  I found the Yoda card on someone's blog (can't for the life of me find it again now!) I've found the original creator of the card... go here to check out Debbie's GORGEOUS creation... much better than mine!!!! He loved it when he saw it on their blog so I went downstairs and spent an hour making my first one.  I was so excited to show him, but he was not equally thrilled:(  He said that I got the mouth all wrong:)  In my oh-so-mature mommy mode, I told him that he could design one himself then and I passed him my computer.  His MDS invitation is below.... darn kid!!!!!

Stampin' Royalty Challenge #95~ Spooky, Creepy Halloween Theme

I did it... I created my first Hybrid card!!!!!  I don't actually own any of these Halloween stamps or the coordinating DSP.  I used My Digital Studio to create and print out my card front.  I printed another page with a few of the embellishments and then I cut them out by hand and popped them up and you can see in the second photo.   I added a little retired lace and VOILA!

Make sure to come and play with us at Stampin' Royalty this week... I can't wait to see what spooky, creepy things you come up with!

So Sweet and Simple...

I've seen versions of this card all over the internet lately... I decided that I had to make one as I had three of these felt wreaths left and really hadn't been inspired by them as of yet.  I love how quick and easy this card was to put together... a little sponging... one stamp... a bow and a few glue dots... LOVE IT!  There will be two more of these heading out this year with my Christmas cards:)

I'm really looking forward to my Christmas Stamp-a-Stack tonight:)
