My Baby's in Kindergarten!

Okay, looking at this photo I know you're going to ask what baby, but it my mind, Joe was just born yesterday! Today was his first day of Kindergarten, and as you can tell from the look on his face, he had no qualms about leaving his parents at the door! We took these photos on the front deck before we walked to school today. I love the fact that I was able to pull the colour out of all of the pics and incorporate it into my page so easily. The little mini with the "faux-hawk" is my other little boy, Lucas. He'll be starting kindergarten next year! This page came together in under 30 minutes which is my idea of scrapbooking! I will admit that I was an avid scrapbooker until I was introduced to Stampin' Up. When I saw that I could make cards so easily the appeal was overwhelming as with small children I could feel a sense of accomplishment in a short period of time. Scrapbooking was always a lengthly ordeal that seem to carry on for nights, if not weeks. Once I put it on the back burner, the though of getting back into it and atacking the ever-growing stack of photos seemed like a daunting task, but now I'm ready to take it on! Don't worry, the cards won't disappear and I am working on them nightly still; right now it is just on the same card (my Founder's Circle Swap).

The Continued Wonder of Window Sheets!

This was the final little project that we completed on club night. This one is done using the Fancy Favors Die and the Thick Window Sheets. I was thrilled at how easily the Big Shot cut through these and the fact that it still scored them:) I adhered my box with some mini glue dots. This favor boxes are the perfect size from some 3x3 notecards and envelopes. Again, the girls cards are only the same in that they received the Real Red cardstock, but their DSP's are all slightly different. Hopefully I'll remember to get a couple of photos so that I can share with you! I love it when packaging is so simple and clean looking!

OMG... I Love It!

Guaranteed that My Digital Studio arrives on the first day of school and on the night that we had our monthly club night:) I didn't really get to play until today and even at that I only had a few minutes. I just wanted to share with you how easy it is to put together a QUICK page. I had these adorable photos of my nephew from last spring so I decided to use them. I love working with black and white photos as there is really no limit to the colours you can put with them. I will definitely be a "hybrid scrapbooker" (someone who combines the digital scrapbooking with the traditional paper scrapbooking). I can't wait to put actual buttons on this page with some of the twine tied in. I'm going to reopen this file and try and mat my photos now! If I manage to do it successfully I'll upload again to add to this post:) Okay... here it is!

Playing with Window Sheets:)

After finishing up my Diorama card for club the other night I decided that once again I would stick with a theme and go with the window sheets. I love the printed window sheets and yet I don't seem to get around to using them often. It is quite a shame considering how easy it is to make a card with them! At some point soon, someone is going to need to confiscate my Rich Razzleberry paper! The idea that I only have one year with this colour is DEVASTATING! This was one of the patterns from the Clearly Thanks Window Sheets. I can't wait to share my girls' creations as they will each be getting one of the four different prints in this package and each will get different colours of DSP and coordinating ribbon. It is so much fun to look at the different things that evolve when we all start off with the same materials:)

Look What Arrived!

This was the package of information for my Founder's Circle Trip on the 16th! I love the bag tags and once again I'm kicking myself for never thinking of putting the Designer Brads in the center closure of the Gusseted Envelopes for added detail. I love it! The theme behind the whole weekend is "Bloom". I'm counting down the days and working like a mad woman on my swaps! I can't wait to share them with you...9 days and counting!

Club Card Sneak Peek:)

This is one of the cards that we will be doing at club this month. It is based on the idea of the diorama card that I showed a couple of days ago. I absolutely love this Level III hostess set, The More the Merrier. These snowmen are so stinkin' cute:) I was having fun with the new Holiday Lounge DSP and the Snowfall Window sheets from my special this week too!

Quick Crop Card

When I have my fabulous group of friends over for Crop Night, I like to have a little project for them to do. This was just a quick and simple card done using the Movers and Shapers dies. We actually precut the card and added the Rich Razzleberry base layer as well as the Razzleberry Lemonade DSP before putting it in the die. Because it was pre-assembled, you can just lay it into the the die and then you only have to worry about placement of the movers and shapers die. For this particular card we used the heart and just slid it over far enough the second time through that it overlapped the first heart. Then we used the heart punch to make the inserts for the inside of the card. We could have used the portions that were punched out, but I love the fact that the punch is slightly smaller than the die and leaves the white border. One of my hearts was snailed down directly on the inside of the card and the other was popped up on a dimensional. We used the Hello Again stamp set for the sentiment and the little butterfly sitting just above it. Another thing I love about being a demo is how much collaboration there can be. I had finished the card a few nights earlier; one of my friends and demos came over for a catch up visit after the summer. We looked at my "naked" card and she decided that it needed some sponging around the inside of the hearts as well as on the heart inserts. Gotta love that I don't have to use my brain all the time because there are days that I really don't think it works:)

So Much Fun

This afternoon I got a few hours to play in my scrap room and this was the end result. As I'm sure you've heard me say many times now, I'm really trying to break away from the standard A2 cards that I always do. This particular card is a diorama card; although the chances of me EVER giving this to someone are slim and none! This is so going on my mantel this year! The ornaments in this card are actually suspended in mid air by the linen thread. I used the new Merry Moments DSP for the background to make it look like you were look in the window of house at their Christmas tree. I tried to photograph this card from every angle so that you could see the Snowfall Window Sheets that I used for the glass:) I'm having WAY too much fun with these! This is the final project that we will do as part of the Delightful Decorations class. After my promotion, this class will open up to attendees without purchase for $20.
