A Trip Outdoors

The Grade 6 students in my class are away at Outdoor School this week.  In preparation for their trip, they needed to make name tags.  In the past these have always been done on pieces of real wood, but in keeping with the theme of outdoor school and preserving the environment, they no longer supply these for the students to decorate.  I still have mine from my grade six trip; it was an awesome keepsake!  Well, I went home with the intention of just die cutting some cardboard for their name tags.  My oldest son Joe came up with the idea of stamping them with SU's Woodgrain stamp and sponging the edges to make them look like wood:)  Gotta love that kid!!!!  My students LOVED how they turned out and they had a great time personalizing their own!
