Convention Swap #1

Well, I would love to brag and say that I completed all 97 of these cards on my own, but that's not the case. I was lucky enough to have had my mom and dad staying with me for the past three weeks and my mom loves a challenge! When I designed my original swap card last week I decided to share it with my mom to see what she thought. I probably should have explained to her that I planned on making a 100 before I asked for that input as the card just became more and more complicated:) I actually stopped at 97 as I ran out of supplies. I was so thrilled to be done three days before I left that we actually did 44 more of another card that I'll share with you tomorrow!

Today, I'm on the plane on my way to Convention in Utah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can't wait to share with you while I"m there, make sure to check back daily for updates:)

On another note I wanted to wish my AMAZING husband Happy Anniversary! Not only does he put up with all of my crazy stamping and support me wholeheartedly, he also agreed to me ditching him on our anniversary! (I have a strange feeling that this could come back to haunt me:)

Big Shot Club Project #2

This was the second little project that we worked on the other night as part of Big Shot Club. This was made using the adorable new Fancy Favours Die. I'm having so much fun with making things just a little bit more detailed by adding the punches and Window Sheets. I used my wide oval punch and then secured some window sheet in side. Then I punched the snowflake using the new Snowflake Punch and Glittery White Cardstock and I used a brad from my Pretties Kit for the center. Some of you may be wondering about the fabulous cord that I used, but it was from last year's Holiday Mini. I tend to hoard things and this was one of them:) The sentiment was from the Teeny Weeny Wishes set, which in my opinion, if you're new to stamping, is the be all and end all as you've covered all of your sentiments in one shot!

Big Shot Club Project #1

You've probably seen these adorable little boxes on Splitcoast lately, but I couldn't resist making them for Big shot Club lastnight. I can't believe how easy they were to make with the Matchbox and Top Note Dies. We used the new Razzleberry Lemonade DSP with Crushed curry and Dusty Durango drawers. We made our little drawer pulls with the filagree brads and then finished off the top with the Razzleberry stamp set and some Hodgepodge Hardware. Wait until you see what is coming out in the Holiday Mini that would make a great addition to these little jewellry boxes!

Twist on a Catty Card

I absolutely fell in love with a card on page 158 of the current catty. The idea of putting wood on my cards was just amazing! I also fell in love with the new stamp set, Scenic Season. It had that look that reminded me of Lovely as a Tree. I stamped my image by inking up the trees in Close to Cocoa and then using my Stampin' Write Real Red marker on sentiment. After stamping the image, I used my two way glue pen to add some Dazzling Diamonds to the trees and then I used a sponge dauber with some CC ink on it to soften the edges of the wood. I finished off the card with a bit of the Red Ginghan ribbon. I will definitely be using this wood a TON (your Big Shot cuts it beautifully!)

Big Shot Club/ Crop Night

This is the make-n-take card that we'll be doing at my Crop Night this Thursday. I absolutely love the new Finial Press Embossing Folder. If you click on my photo you can see it in much greater detail. The DSP is my new favourite Cottage Wall... wait until you see the new class that I have coming up with this one! Finally, the stamp set is For All You Do which is part of the new recruiting special on right now! I still have some space for Thursday night, but please make sure to RSVP if you're coming.
