Hand Stamped Sentiments Challenge #93~

Being away in Mexico made it a little difficult to participate in this challenge seeing as I had no supplies with me other than my computer:)  My Digital Studio to the rescue!!!!!  I'm not in love with my card, but I get the idea of the technique now.  Although I'm not looking forward to leaving the sunshine, I am looking forward to trying this technique out at home with some real DSP:)

Christmas Card Case

 This card was one that we did at Sarah's birthday workshop.  It is pretty much a direct case of Twila Moonyham's card.  I love that at this time of year, when time is so short, that I can draw on the talent of others for my ideas:)   I did this card using the Silver Glimmer Paper as well, but changed the Red Ribbon for the Old Olive Satin.  Equally gorgeous... but unfortunately I can't share it with you as I'm typed this post while in the airport and it appears I forgot to photograph it:(  If you could see this card in person you'd realize just how stunning it is as the Champagne Mist shimmer paint that I sprayed on combined with the rubbing alcohol looks amazing!

Great Gift Card Holder

This was another one of our club projects from last month. If you don't have the Stocking Die from the Holiday Mini, it's a MUST!!!!  This adorable project was cased from a friend, Natasha.  She has an amazing tutorial on her blog to create your own!!!!  I will admit that I used up some of my retired DSP in making this one... couldn't resist... it is perfect!

Keeping it Short and Sweet...

Well, I'm off to Mexico for a week for my sister-in-law's wedding so my posts this week will be short and sweet:)  My little brother offered to take care of my house/dogs for the week so we could leave stress free:)

This was one of our cards from technique club this month using the shaving cream technique:0)  I can't believe that in my three years of stamping that I've never tried this... it was so much fun!

Stampin' Royalty Challenge #97 ~ Theme Challenge

I couldn't help but giggle as I scrapbooked this page on the weekend.  This was taken when Lucas was only a few months old and he celebrated his 6th birthday yesterday... where does the time go?

So Out of the Loop...

Did the most embarrassing thing... made a card for my blog with a retired stamp set!!!!!  Some of you may not understand why that's embarrassing.  It has nothing to do with the fact that I used the retired stamp set, as I do that when there's one I really love, but more to do with the fact that I had no idea that it was retired until I went to look up the name of it and realized it wasn't in the catty:)   I just thought that those fireworks were perfect for a birthday card!  Let's blame it on "mom-nesia"... anyone else have it?

Stampin' Royalty Challenge #96 ~Colour Challenge

 Sorry I was late getting this up:( Hope you're having a great day!  Thanks for the comments recently... you make my day!!!  This week's Stampin' Royalty Challenge is a Colour Challenge, make sure to come and check it out and play along!  For this card I used my Circle Circus My Digital Studio stamp set to create this hybrid card.  Although I have the Circle Circus stamp set, I wanted a larger version of it for this card.  I just printed it out on whisper white cardstock and then I matted it on the Blushing Bride and Melon Mambo.  I finished it off with my favourite ribbon to tie, the Peach Parfait Poly Twill ribbon:)
