Last Minute Gift:)

On the night of February 12th at about 8:30pm, my seven year old informed that he needed a secret Valentine gift and that it must be at school on the 13th!  Sean and I quickly start organizing who is running out to the stores... then Lucas informs us that it must be handmade!  AWESOME!!!!!!!  (although I do believe the intent was that the child make it and not the parent:)  Lucas came down and picked out stamps and paper and then I madly started decorating a book for his little buddy.  Lucas was adamant that it needed "Keep Out" stamped on it as he knew his friend had a little brother:)

I'm Still Alive:)

I'll keep it quick for you today and share some fun Valentine's that the boys and I made for their classes.  Turns out that not only did we have to do both boys classes (24 each), but Lucas' class also had to do them for their entire buddy class (another 28 kids).  Boy was that fun... writing 52 Valentine's with a Grade two:)  He informed that he didn't really like his buddy class that much.  When I asked him why, he responded, "because they all have really long names".  Gotta love the honesty of children:)

Hand Stamped Sentiments Challenge #153

This week's Hand Stamped Sentiments Challenge was a beautiful colour challenge!  We had to put down our beautiful boy, "Diesel" last week.  It was therapeutic for me to make this page of him the other night.  This pic was taken a few years back while on a camping trip at Honeyman State Park in Oregon.    I'd love for you to come and play with us this week.. .. can't type much more... too teary looking at him:(
